A first draft, written from what Chapters actually does today. It is not a substitute for counsel review, and the bracketed sections below are not finished.

What Chapters is
Chapters is an invite-only, pilot-stage trip design service. Two partners each answer a set of questions; we use that to shortlist destinations and write a magazine — the itinerary and reasoning behind three places we think fit you both. We do not book travel directly. Where a trip is booked, it goes through a licensed travel advisor, and Chapters may receive a commission from that booking — see our privacy notice and about page for more on how we’re paid.
Payment
Chapters is free during the current pilot. The quiz, the magazine, the itinerary, and the folio cost you nothing this year. We are compensated only when a trip is booked through a licensed travel advisor, who may pay us a commission. There is no fee and no subscription.
What we don’t promise
Destination availability, pricing, and travel conditions change after we write a volume and are outside our control. A magazine is our best guidance at the time it’s written, not a guarantee of price or availability at the time you book.
The magazine itself
The volume we write for you is yours to keep and use for planning your own trip. It remains Chapters’ work otherwise — please don’t republish or resell it.
Limitation of liability
[BRACKETED — COUNSEL REQUIRED]. A standard limitation-of-liability clause (capping damages, excluding indirect/consequential loss) belongs here. Not drafted — this is exactly the kind of clause that needs a lawyer's specific wording, not a first-pass approximation.
Governing law & disputes
[BRACKETED — CONFIRM]. Likely California, given the company is based in San Francisco (see the footer) — but that’s an inference, not a confirmed fact. Whether disputes go to arbitration or court also needs a founder + counsel decision.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page as the pilot evolves and note the date below. Continuing to use Chapters after a change means you accept the update.
